Extract from war diary of 9th Bn, 22nd (Cheshire) Regiment

The battalion moved to billets at LYNDE vis STRAZEELE-HAZEBROUCK-WALLON CAPPEL, marching out at 9 a.m. and arriving in billets at 5-45 p.m., [sic] There was a halt from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. during which time dinner was served.  The weather was extremely hot
