Extract from war diary of 1st Bn, 22nd (Cheshire) Regiment


2/Lt C.V. Potter proceeded to R.F.C.

Weather wet and men much exposed in trenches.  Intermittent shelling by enemy.

Salvage work done and party working on Willerval Roads.

Orders received to relieve 1st Bedfords during night 18/19th S-17.

Steady shelling by enemy.

Casualties: – Nil
