Extract from war diary of 9th Bn, 22nd (Cheshire) Regiment

Rossignol Wood

The Battalion moved into the support area, going into camp at ROSSIGNOL WOOD, N.22.a.  The march was commenced at 5.0 pm. and camp was reached about 6.0 pm.

A working party of 100 O.R. was supplied to 5th S.W.B. for carrying material in the forward area.

The Brigade prepared for an operation to be carried out by the 56th Brigade east of OOSTTAVERNE.  Battle preparations were made.
