The Bn attacked at 4-30 a.m. towards BARRACK TRENCH (N.E of GONNELIEU) under a very accurate barrage put down by our own artillery.  Darkness hindered the advance but the signal for the objective being taken was sent up at 6 a.m.

1Field Gun, several Machine Guns and 53 prisoners were captured.

The Battalion was relieved by 13th Bn Rifle Brigade of 37th Division at 5-30 p.m.
